International Food Federation
It is a leading international entity that unites efforts among countries, government institutions, non-governmental organizations, and the private sector, aiming to ensure sustainable food security for all people.
It was established in response to the need for an entity capable of addressing complex challenges threatening global food systems—from climate change and its impacts on agriculture, to supply chain disruptions, food safety risks, and the growing demand for healthy and nutritious food.
The federation was founded through an initiative by experts and decision-makers from five countries and has since expanded to include over 40 countries across all five continents. Over the years, it has led diverse international projects, including supporting sustainable agriculture, establishing food quality monitoring networks, and organizing international conferences that bring together sector leaders and experts.
Why We Exist?
Because food challenges are complex and interconnected, requiring an international entity that unifies standards, bridges sectors, and leads collaboration to develop resilient and equitable food systems.
Our Vision
Every person, in every country, should live in an environment that guarantees their fundamental right to safe, healthy, and nutritious food, free from any form of discrimination or exclusion. We envision a world where food resources are managed efficiently and fairly, communities maintain a balance between human needs and environmental protection, and agricultural land, water, and natural resources are preserved for future generations. Our vision is built on creating international solidarity networks, making food a bridge for unity among people rather than a source of conflict.
Our Mission
We work to establish and implement unified international standards for food quality and safety, ensuring that food is free from hazards and meets optimal nutritional values. Our mission goes beyond setting regulations to fostering cross-border cooperation, sharing expertise, and building the capacity of institutions and individuals to efficiently manage food supply chains.

Basic Services of the International Food Federation (IFF)
We believe that addressing contemporary food challenges requires the integration of efforts and expertise; therefore, we focus on combining scientific knowledge, fieldwork, and strategic partnerships to create a real and sustainable impact.
The Federation develops and updates international standards for food safety and product quality to ensure compliance with the highest global specifications. This work helps protect consumer rights, promote fair food trade, and build strong trust between producers and consumers internationally, opening new opportunities in global markets.
We support scientific research and development projects that focus on innovation in the food sector, improving production and distribution methods, and addressing global food security challenges. We also fund studies aimed at developing sustainable and innovative solutions that help enhance food security at both local and international levels.
The Federation works as a unified voice for the food sector on the international stage, where it advocates for policies that support food security and sustainability, and represents the interests of its members in international forums and governmental and non-governmental organizations. The Federation seeks to enhance cooperation between countries and institutions to achieve common goals in building robust and equitable food systems.
The Federation grants international accreditation certificates to food products and institutions that adhere to the highest quality and safety standards. These certificates help enhance the position of products in global markets and facilitate compliance with international regulations and laws, thereby enhancing export opportunities and commercial expansion.
